Japanese Sentence-Ending Particles ね and よ

Sentence-Ending Particles (ne, yo)

Expressive particles added to the end of sentences: ね (ne) for agreement or confirmation, and よ (yo) for new information or assertion.

Sentence-ending particles in Japanese convey the speaker's attitude. 'ね' (ne) is used to seek agreement, establish connection, or confirm shared information, similar to 'right?' or 'isn't it?' in English. 'よ' (yo) is assertive and indicates that the speaker is sharing new, important information or pointing out a fact, similar to an exclamation point or saying 'I tell you.'
