PolishPrepositions

Polish Prepositions z, do, w

Polish Prepositions: z, do, w

Three primary Polish prepositions and the cases they govern: z (from/with), do (to/into), and w (in/into).

The prepositions 'z', 'do', and 'w' are essential in Polish, each governing specific cases depending on meaning: 'do' (to/into) always governs the Genitive (Dopełniacz). 'w' governs the Locative (Miejscownik) for location (where?), but the Accusative (Biernik) for movement into (where to?). 'z' governs the Instrumental (Narzędnik) when meaning 'with' (e.g., z bratem), but the Genitive (Dopełniacz) when meaning 'from/out of' (e.g., z Polski).
