Pro-drop: Because Ukrainian verb endings explicitly mark person and number (читаю, читаєш, читає), subject pronouns are regularly omitted unless required for emphasis or contrast. 3. Politeness: Capitalized Ви is used in formal writing and polite conversation when addressing a single person.
Learners should note that він/вона/воно refer to inanimate objects based purely on their grammatical gender (де мій стіл? — ось він).
