Registering your address

После селидбе Иван мора да пријави боравак у полицијској станици.
After moving, Ivan has to register his address at the police station.

То се ради у року од двадесет четири сата.
This has to be done within twenty-four hours.

Са собом носи пасош и уговор о закупу стана.
He takes his passport and the rental contract with him.

Газдарица мора да дође с њим, јер она пријављује станара.
The landlady has to come with him, because she registers the tenant.

У станици је ред, али шалтер ради брзо.
There is a queue at the station, but the counter works fast.

Службеник пита за адресу и датум уласка у земљу.
The officer asks for the address and the date of entry into the country.

Иван добија белу пријаву — папир који чува као злато.
Ivan gets the white registration slip — a piece of paper he keeps like gold.

Без њега не може ни банку ни лекара.
Without it he can go neither to the bank nor to the doctor.

"What is bothering you?" the doctor asks.

„Боли ме грло и кашљем ноћу.“
"My throat hurts and I cough at night."

Лекарка је прегледа и каже да није ништа озбиљно.
The doctor examines her and says it is nothing serious.

Пише рецепт и саветује да пије много топлог чаја.
She writes a prescription and advises drinking a lot of warm tea.

„И одмарајте три дана“, додаје на крају.
"And rest for three days," she adds at the end.

They agreed that he would start on Monday.
